Ascension : Your Emerging 6th Sense

by Kahu Fred Sterling

Q: Could you comment on the sixth sense that starts to develop as one begins the ascension process?

KAHU: At a given point, when you're working towards your own in-lightenment, you say, "I want to become enlightened. I want to discover love." These words are clichés. Nobody wants to hear them. You need to become in-lightened, and you need to discover love. I like the word in-lightened, because it means filled with the light of love. There's this mystical thinking about in-lightenment that suggest that you have to develop some magical sense in order to cultivate the sixth sense or to be psychic or healers, or whatever. What if it isn't that, my friends? What if it is the simplicity of weaving your five senses as one?

Master Kirael was saying that when you tell a beautiful truth it's as though you can taste it in your mouth. As well, he says, when you don't tell the truth, it's almost as though you can sense an acidic taste in your mouth. I'd like to think that we're getting much clearer on understanding that there is a portion of our reality that can take these five senses—touch, smell, sight, taste and hearing—draw them together and create the sixth sense. When you draw the five senses together it automatically creates a weave and that weave becomes the sixth sense. In literal sense, there's no magic to this art of the sixth sense. The magic, if there is any, is in the weave because the only way to enter the weave is in love.

If you want to learn how to create this weave, you'll have to remove from your vocabulary the three phrases that I talk about: "I don't know," "I can't do it," and "I'm not getting it." When you take those out of your vocabulary, when you say to yourself, "I am going to weave my five senses together," don't finish it up by saying, "Of course, I don't have the slightest idea what that means." You just cancelled it with that bit of doubt. Instead, just say, "I'm going to weave my five senses together," and stop right there. Within 24 hours something will start to shift for you. You don't have to wait five hours or five years. It can happen immediately. We are creatures of our pattern of thoughts. We do not have to be limited by our thoughts. We can be expanded by our thoughts. If you choose to be limited by your thoughts, you will always see a glass that's half empty. If you stop saying, "I can't do it," "I don't know," and "I'm not getting it," and instead tell yourself, "Starting today, I am going to weave my five senses together and I am going to find how to work with my sixth sense," your world will start to expand with possibilities.

Tomorrow, if you're walking by the phone and you reach over and pick it up before it rings and somebody's on the other line don't say, "Oh my God, how weird is that?" You just canceled everything. Congratulate yourself. Say, "Wow that was so cool."

When my first book, The Great Shift, was in the process of being published, we were so silly. We had no sense of anything. We spent $4,000 for a book cover and the book cover that was presented to us was a picture of circle, with me in front of it and these great big angel wings coming out from behind my head. It was the absolute worst picture. Of course, we rejected the cover. The point I'm trying to make is that when you're not clear about exactly what you want, people will give you what they want.

When you say, "I don't know," when you say, "I am not getting it," when you say, "It doesn't work for me," that's exactly what you can expect from your life. You can expect a lack of clarity in everything you do when you use those three phrases. If you want to change your life, say, "I'm willing to start to weave the five senses together," then watch your world unfold in the most beautiful way. You will find yourself doing more of the things that you want to do.
